Frida Headband - red folklore
The Frida Headband will be your good companion,
if you like fun accessories in your hair. It is practical to keep your hair out of your face on a windy beach day or an intense painting day at home etc. They come is a lot of different colours but only one size. Since every band has an elastic part in the back, this design fits small and big heads.
Our Frida Headbands are made out of leftover material from Saris. They are traditional outer garments of Indian women consisting of a piece of brightly coloured, frequently embroidered Silk. The initial cloth can be four to seven meters long. It is worn wrapped around the body with the end left hanging or used over the head as a hood.
These unique scrunchies, headbands and baskets are produced by the Saheli Women Social Enterprise focusing on women empowerment, rural community development, and sustainable growth in Bhikhamkor, Northern India.
